After taking first place in the U12 Bundesliga at the beginning of the month with a strong team performance, we wanted to defend the title on Saturday. Nine players were actually nominated, but since we also fielded a team in the second league, I reduced the number of participants to seven. We thus had the best team average since we started taking part in U12 tournaments. The training paid off, the team performance was well above average, and in the end we were only seven points short of the strong Düsseldorf chess club. The others were far behind.

The Düsseldorf side had already dominated the league in the spring and now field teams (U8 and U12) in the World League. There we will have a reunion with some of them on 23 December in the U8 league. The second team also played well, especially Elias and JianQi, who were in top form.
The next big event will be the Christmas tournament for our U12 and U16 teams. In the U16 we field one team and in the U12 two or three teams.
