Whether child or adult, complete beginner or seasoned player — everyone is welcome at Schachfreunde München. If you know the basic rules, you can join right in. The easiest way to get to know us is to simply drop by one of our training or game nights.

When and where we play

We train throughout the week at several venues across Munich — online and in person, from beginner courses to advanced groups. To keep training effective, we deliberately keep the groups small.

You’ll find all courses with exact times, places and coaches on our training page.

New courses start every six months — but newcomers can join a suitable existing group at any time.

Chess at schools

Schools can also book chess courses with us, for example as a chess club. There we teach groups of up to 15 participants. More on our school-chess page.
