1. Zwergenschachturnier: Surprise achieved - Stefan in 3rd place
(rh) Six of our youngest members took part in the first Zwergenschachturnier, organized by the Karlsruhe Schachfreunde. A total of 45 little ones had registered. Leon, Stefan, Willi, Anton, Gwendolyn and Seraphina were in on the action from our side. No one was left without points. Leon played the most maturely, he used his time, won all his games and delivered the best performance. Stefan, on the other hand, played faster and managed to jump into third place in the final minutes. We had not expected it, but Stefan showed his skill. His mating attacks were crowned with success, and he won the last four games. All the children improved their Lichess rating! Anton scored 12, Willi 8, Seraphina 6 and Gwendolyn 4. Congratulations to all the children! We hope that even more of our youngest will take part next Friday.
