four wins in four matches on Friday evening in the DSOL: we were unbeatable today!
(rh) Thanks to the four team captains on duty and the good communication among us, we were so well positioned that all teams won. Among the adults a dramatic match developed. Jürgen quickly drew against his favoured opponent. Christoph, Elias and Patrick, on the other hand, used up a great deal of thinking time in their positions. On boards 3 and 4, which we favoured and where Patrick and Elias played, this investment paid off after a long fight. Experience and competence prevailed. With Christoph the position looked balanced when his time ran out shortly before a queen check. We could cope well with this loss of a point given the fact that we already had two and a half points on our account.
I will summarize the other teams from the youth section briefly. We effectively gave up only half a point against Porz 9. Benedikt on board 1 of the fifth team drew with his opponent, but just as in the adult team this meant the decisive half point for the win. We left a point lying on board 4 due to a misunderstanding, as the nominated player had not shown up. Vroni and Diana, by contrast, were convincing and won.
The sixth team won against TSV Neutra and the seventh convincingly against Porz 9 by 4-0. Anton, Arnav, Archisha, Azat (our youngest), David, Elias, JianQi and Lukas all won!
