On Friday Two Narrow Defeats and an Untroubled Win: Schachfreunde München e.V. 1 and 2 1.5 to 2.5 and Team V Wins 3 to 1
(rh) First the positive: the first team picked up 1.5 points against the on average clearly higher-rated players of Segeberger SF, and in doing so Elias on the first board finally broke the spell of the losing streak with a draw. Only Alexander had to lay down his arms on the 4th board, a pawn down in a queen-and-rook endgame.
In the second team, only Jürgen took the full point; a misclick by his opponent put him in the lead, Christoph agreed to a draw, and Anton and Sinem had to admit defeat.
Team 5 won 3 to 1 with a convincing performance against the likewise fifth team of Schachfreunde Berlin.
(db) Victory for Schachfreunde München e.V. V! Schachfreunde München e.V. V shows strength and wins 3:1 against SF Berlin V
With a win over SF Berlin V, the Schachfreunde München e.V. V team climbs to third place in the table. Three wins (Benedikt Heller 1:0 Bernd Papendick, Diana Bueckert 1:0 Benjamin Schweitzer, Veronika Flier 1:0 Gunther Geisen) and an unluckily lost game by Maxim (Maxim Savchenko 0:1 Krystina Kamp) made this result possible.
Benedikt played with Black against 1. d4. In the opening his opponent fought for an advantage, but after a big mistake by his opponent in the middlegame, Benedikt found the move to win, and the game was over. Benedikt won. Diana was White and played 1. d4. In the opening she had a slight advantage, but in the middlegame the position was even again.
In the endgame, Black lost a pawn and the game began to fall apart for Black. Diana brought home the point for the team.
Veronika played with White and opened with 1. e4. In the opening Veronika made a small mistake, and the game turned against her. After that she missed a few chances. In the endgame she managed to equalise the game again and then promoted a pawn to a queen, which meant the point for the team.
Maxim was Black and played e5 against the “classical” 1. e4. In the opening Maxim made a mistake, which unfortunately turned the game against him – he then no longer managed to gain the upper hand in the game. Maxim lost in the endgame.
