The U14 team takes the first Bavarian title in the age group!
After Leon’s unexpected defeat against Tegernheim’s Quirin, we all held our breath. Everything could have gone wrong, but Tugrul, Matvei and David withstood the pressure and took the points. Today against Postbauer-Heng things went much more smoothly. Vroni came in on the fourth board, Tugrul stayed at home, and Leon moved up to board 1. When I arrived the team was already leading 3-0, Vroni and Matvei were already done, and Leon was just in a winning endgame. So yesterday’s day with the moment of fright was already forgotten. We will now have an embarrassment of riches. With Tugrul, David, Matvei, Leon, Vroni and Tugce we have no fewer than six players who could play.
