Report on Schachfreunde München e.V. I, V and VII: two draws and one defeat
(rh) Today the derby against Dachau was on the schedule. The visitors were nominally more strongly manned with two players over 2000 on the front two boards. With the 2-2 we achieved a respectable result; as already against Weißensee, the win slipped through our fingers. The match was commented on by Stephan and Felix and streamed on our Twitch channel. The games of the two other teams were also followed in parts.
In the process, the seventh team lost surprisingly: Elias allowed himself to be checkmated while up a piece, and Johann was unfortunately unable to convert his rook advantage into a win.
The fifth team did somewhat better. Here is the detailed report from Diana:
Round 2 - Akademie Paderborn II - Schachfreunde München e.V. V - 2:2
Benedikt Heller played against the Caro-Kann.
Diana Bückert played the French Defence.
Veronika Flierl played against d4 - (Queen’s Pawn Game).
Maxim Sawtschenko played against the French Defence.
After an opening mistake by his opponent, Benedikt took the lead. In the further course of the game Benedikt was able to capture another pawn, which put him two points ahead. Shortly afterwards Benedikt also captured the knight. After 56 moves the game was over - Benedikt won.
In the opening there were no notable inaccuracies. Diana was able to transition into the middlegame. After a tactical mistake by her opponent (bishop won), Diana took the lead. Throughout the entire game Diana missed several chances to decide the game in her favour, but after 34 moves the game was over (opponent’s resignation) - Diana won.
After a small tactical mistake at the beginning of the game, Veronika’s opponent gained an advantage, which could, however, be balanced out again after the queen exchange. Veronika played well throughout the middlegame – both remained on equal footing. Unfortunately there was an unfortunate loss of a pawn in the endgame, which cost Veronika the game. The game lasted 67 moves - Veronika lost.
Maxim started well against the French Defence, but unfortunately fell into a tricky trap set by his opponent. As a result, the game unfortunately came to an early end. The game lasted 23 moves, Maxim lost.
All in all we are satisfied with the point and can wait for the next round from the top of the table.
